Borderline Personality Disorder

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a diagnosis that is characterized by symptoms of extreme mood swings, impulsive behaviors, chaotic relationship patterns, problems regulating stress and difficulties maintaining hobbies and finding ways to experience joys in everyday life. I prefer to identify BPD as the disorder of extremes. Individuals that have been diagnosed with this disorder have difficulties regulating their thoughts, emotions, stress, and relationships (with self and others).

My experiences with working with individuals that have had this diagnosis is that each individual experience different symptoms and severity of those symptoms. BPD allows for it to be viewed as one of the few disorders that can be viewed as a continuum and with therapy those symptoms can be managed and decreased.

If you are experiencing difficulties in regulating your thoughts, stress, emotions, and chaotic relationships, I invite you to contact me today.
